Song before – Wiser Time – The Black Crowes

intro

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Let’s begin with an artist who played almost 4 hours last night at Red Square.

1.) Other Side Of The Rain – Robin Gottfried
2.) Waikiki – The Essex Green
3.) Pale Blue Dot – Sputoola
4.) Nature – Madaila

Great song from the people who have put so much fun music into our community in the last few years. Cool new song from Sputoola. It will be interesting to see where they go. Another cool song from Essex. Robin is such a great guitar player, and a pretty decent songwriter. OK, This next band will take over the Stone Church in Brattleboro on Friday and Saturday. Get into a nice relaxed state for this one.

5.) Notebook – The Edd
6.) Complex Vermont – Self Portrait
7.) If I Knew – Binger
8.) By Suicide – David Rosane & The Zookeepers

Another great song from the champion of the local library. If you ever feel that far down, please reach out to your friends. We care about you. Cool song from Binger that features Stephanie Heaghney on vocals. I caught her new band JUPTR this weekend at GPN. I’ll have to track down some of their music soon. Nice portrait of Vermont, both good and bad, from the rappers. Cool song from The Edd. OK, so this next band are legends in town. They have been playing for 16 years and will celebrate their birthday Friday at Light Club Lamp Shop. They have created some of the most gorgeous and powerful music that our state has seen. Let’s honor them in the only reasonably possible way.

9.) Overcoat – SWALE
10.) Armadillo – Swale
11.) Felon – Swale
12.) Soul Piggy Bank – Swale

Such beautiful songs. Maybe I should play some more.

13.) Cancer – Swale
14.) Black Boys On Mopeds – Swale
15.) If You Get Lost – Swale
16.) Waiting For You – Swale

From the initial trio of Amanda Gustafson, Eric Olsen, and Jeremy Frederick to the addition of Tyler Bolles Swale have graced our state with power that flows right into your heart. Mopeds is a cover of the Sinead O’Connor song. If you haven’t seen the amazing video that Eric put together, that highlights the staggering amount of violence against black people, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Is that all of the great songs that they have? I don’t think so.

17.) Waterlanding – Swale
18.) Good Medicine – Swale
19.) All Down Tonight – Swale
20.) The Next Instead – Swale

Such great music. If you don’t think I’m going to play 16 Swale songs to celebrate their sweet 16, you don’t know me very well.

21.) Elevator – Swale
22.) Everyone Likes To – Swale
23.) Popular Crowd – Swale
24.) Drug Laws – Swale

Happy 16th birthday Swale. Here’s to many more! OK, here is the next song on MSP3 Counter Attack.

25.) Geese – ROUGH FRANCIS
26.) Collider – Doom Service
27.) Junior – Clever Girls

Clever played a killer set at GPN. They will be at The Monkey House on Sunday and Nectar’s next Wednesday. Doom will be at Jim’s Basement on Sunday. Well, I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?

3.) Children Of The Stars – Madaila
4.) Freeway – Totally Submerged

Submerged play all over Vermont all the time. If you like that song, keep your eyes open. I love that Madaila song. Mike Luoma just sent Johnny’s music my way. I thought it would go nice with Madaila. Great song from Binger. OK, here is the next song on Engine.

5.) Visions – Kelly Ravin Music
6.) Only Human – The Brand New Luddites
7.) Just Another Day – The Nancy Druids
8.) Kick Rocks – And The Kids

OK, this next band will be all over Vermont in July and August. They will be playing shows at local libraries to raise funds and awareness for how they are becoming local community centers. They also have a new album coming soon.

9.) Today Is Mine – David Rosane & The Zookeepers
10.) Real World – David Rosane & The Zookeepers
11.) Enemy – David Rosane & The Zookeepers
12.) Ba Doom! – David Rosane & The Zookeepers

I love the line about how because of you I’m a feminist. That always gets attention when they play it live. Those are all great songs and you can hear them in a library near you soon. The Book Of Zoo is coming to you. OK, so last night I went out to The Monkey House and lucked into part of a set by a band from Albany.

13.) Nothing’s New – The Backseat Bullets
14.) Once More With Apathy – Mr. Doubtfire
15.) S. Fiction – Blowtorch
16.) Venus In Spurs – Barbacoa

Those last two will be at Radio Bean on Friday. Another band is playing too but I’ll mention them later. Doubtfire put on a great show last night and Bullets were a total joy. I’m so glad I caught them. This next band will be at ArtsRiot tomorrow.

17.) Shifty – The High Breaks
18.) Thank You – 8084
19.) Curveball Dreamer – Zola Turn
20.) If Only I Was Lonely – Phil Yates & The Affiliates

I love that Phil song from the new Party Music album. Classic from Zola. 8084 have been playing for many years and will rock Higher Ground on Saturday. So Mike Luoma has been helping WBKM sound great and has been doing a show at noon. He took today and Friday off to follow his other passion. He writes science fiction novels and graphic novels and is at Balticon this weekend. I’d like to dedicate this to Mike.

21.) Science Fiction – Hana Zara
22.) Once Upon – Vedora
23.) We Are The Beautiful Sunsets – The Cush
24.) First Kiss – Peg Tassey MUSIC

Those are all incredible songs. OK, let’s take a nice long ride in the rain.

The bots will be at the Bean tomorrow too. My robot overlords expect your presence. Well, I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Let’s begin with a local classic.

1.) North Hyde Park – Hover
2.) Crazy – Clever Girls
3.) What’s To Become Of The Meaning Of Love – Daniel Romano
4.) Beach Day – Looms
5.) Automatic Sweetheart – Hammydown

Last Saturday I got to see Clever Girls play at The Monkey House with Looms and Hammydown and last night I saw Clever Girls with Daniel Romano at ArtsRiot. Tomorrow Clever Girls are playing at the Tarrant Art Gallery as part of Exhibitionists: Clever Girls at 5pm. OK, let’s play the last song on the Action EP.

6.) Everyday Weekend – 1881
7.) Kick Rocks – And The Kids
8.) Another Day Closer To Nothing – Grand
9.) Epic – Laureate

Laurieate will come visit us on Sunday for a show at the Monkey House. I haven’t seen Grand for a while and hope to catch up with them soon. They are such a fun band. The Kids are at Higher Ground tonight and always put on a great show. Great song from 1881. I hope you enjoyed listening to all of the songs on their Light’s, Camera, and Action EP’s. I’ll start a new album to play song after song week after week, nest week. These next two bands will be at the Monkey House on Sunday too.

10.) From Here – The Red Summer Sun
11.) Ex-Files – Better Things
12.) Surf Showdown – The High Breaks
13.) The Territory – Hana Zara

Hana has a new album together called Where Amanda Is King. She just launched a Kickstarter to raise money to get it mastered and printed. She writes such great songs and I’m sure the new album will be terrific. The Breaks played at the Summervale festival in the Intervale earlier today. Great songs from Better and Summer. Here is a cool song that I have not heard in a while.

14.) Think I’ll Stay – Great Western
15.) Breathing In – The Hero Cycle
16.) Somewhere Far – The Red Telephone
17.) The Drone – The Cush

The Cush have played many stunning versions of that song in our town over several years. Great song from Telephone who evolved out of Envy. Hero appeared for a year or so and went away but left us with some great music. I have not seen Western in ages but they put on some great shows in the 2010’s. OK, let’s keep rocking.

18.) Weapons Factory – The Wards
19.) Gas And Oil – Gas And Oil
20.) Alcohol Injection – Lord Silky
21.) The Path – Savage Hen

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the Hen. I may have to go check them out in a couple of weeks. Silky just put out a new album and play stunning rock shows. Gas was Beano Parker’s side project and the Wards were his main band. OK, let’s keep rocking.

22.) An Obscene Amount Of Debt – Sink or Swim
23.) The Wolves Are Coming – Suburban Samurai
24.) We Need Bigger Knives – As We Were
25.) Welcome To The Hellmouth – Doom Service

Doom have been playing some shows but I have not caught up with them in a while. I’ll have to change that sometime. As used to play some great punk for us but I have not seen them around lately. Samurai were in town a couple of weeks ago. Swim just played out west. OK, let’s keep rocking.

26.) Carnage – Black Rabbit
27.) Jackbooted Thugs (Have All The Best Drugs) – Anders Parker
28.) Song About The Ocean – Dino Bravo VT
29.) Freeway – David Rosane & The Zookeepers

Great song form David and the band who are playing all over Vermont right now, and are recording a new album. Great new classic from Dino. Tonight’s local music radio show on 107.1FM WBKM will go as follows:

Song before: Time Warp – Rocky Horror Picture Show

intro

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds of Burlington. I want to thank Higher Ground for sponsoring our station. I heard the Shellac show was great last night and Dweezil is playing on Sunday so that is cool. It’s just been so lovely around town lately with lots of sunny days lighting up the foliage. It makes me think of this song.

1.) Blue Sky – Black Rabbit
2.) Nightingale – 1881
3.) Good Times – Grand
4.) Last Night – Carraway

Great fun brand new rocking song from Carraway. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album when it comes out. I just got Grand’s EP and it rocks nicely. 1881 just put out their second EP Camera. The first was called Lights and the third will be Action. Hmmm, Black Rabbit. OK, let’s play the next song from the Invisible Homes album Song For My Double.

5.) The Lie – Invisible Homes
6.) Fa Fa Fanta – WE Are The Asteroid
7.) Desert – Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re
8.) Golden Goose – Cave Bees

Bees played a great version of that one last night at ArtsRiot. They were joined by Tsu and Asteroid. They have been touring together and recorded one of each others songs. Desert is really an Asteroid song and Fa is a Tsu song. I though it would be fun to play those two. Great song by Homes. These next three bands will rock Nectar’s next Tuesday.

9.) Losing Control – Mr. Doubtfire
10.) Monsters Are Due – Doom Service
11.) Getting Laid In New Hampshire – Better Things
12.) Plastic Revolution – Doll Fight

I miss Doll Fight. I’m glad they left us lots of music before breaking up. Nectar’s should be fun next Tuesday!! OK, let’s keep rocking.

13.) Burn – Dirty Blondes
14.) Can’t Feel It – Vetica
15.) Screwball – Screaming Broccoli
16.) Not True – Peg Tassey MUSIC

Peg and Broccoli used to rock our town in the late ’80’s and ’90’s. I love that Vetica song. The Blondes will host a huge party at Nectar’s on election night so come on out if you do not want to be alone. This next song is a Burlington classic.

17.) Small Town Movie – The Cush
18.) Paint With The Sun – Arc Iris
19.) Cascade – Andriana Chobot
20.) Vicarious – Alice Austin

Great song from Alice. I’m loving the Andriana album. Arc played a great show on Saturday at Signal Kitchen. Hmmm, The Cush. This next band play in town a lot and always put on a great show.

21.) Kick Rocks – And The Kids
22.) The Territory – Hana Zara
23.) Terrarium – Vedora
24.) Move Through Time – Persian Claws

Persian are fun and are Barbacoa when Dee joins them. Great song from Caroline Marie‘s band. Hana played a great show a while ago and I can’t wait for her new album. OK, let’s listen to a little evolution in action.

25.) Chop Wood/Carry Water – Zola Turn
26.) Dragged Around The Universe – Queen Tangerine
27.) Void – The Lavas
28.) Popular Crowd – SWALE

Swale are going to dress up as Black Sabbath and play the Paranoid album the Saturday before Halloween. Alice Austin and Julia Austin were in Zola then changed the band to Queen then to the Lavas, so I thought it would be fun to listen to those three together. OK, there’s not much time left. On Saturday lots of musicians will assemble for Ladies Rock Lotto Fall 2016 and will form bands in the morning and perform later that night. It’s a benefit for Girls Rock Vermont. Here are a couple of songs by prominent supporters Linda Bassick and Samara Lark Brown.

29.) Super Sexy Science Party – Wave of the Future
30.) Tell Me – Linda Bassick
31.) High Water Mark – Belizbeha

I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?

intro

From our small city to the great big world these are the Sounds Of Burlington. I want to thank Higher Ground for sponsoring the station and for filling the town with music this coming Saturday and Sunday when Grace Potter headlines the GPN festival. It’s a chilly night in town and the moon is close to full. Considering that this first band played in town on Saturday, this is the most appropriate song I could think of to open with.

1.) Harvest Moon – Silver Bridget
2.) Paperclip Chains – Let’s Whisper
3.) The Interrogator (Enhanced) – Milton Busker
4.) The Great Forgetter – The New Siberians

Yet another great song from the Siberians new album Black, Blue and White. Such a happy pop song from Milton, give or take the lyrics. Great song from Colin Nicholas Clary‘s band. I love Bridget’s sound. OK, let’s play the next song on Song For My Double. This is such a great song.

5.) Above The Frequency – Invisible Homes
6.) Oversoul – Daniel Waterhouse (Dan Murphy)
7.) Unraveling Clouds – Black Ox

21.) Put You Down – The Middle Eight
22.) Emptiness – Vedora
23.) Kids – Wren Kitz
24.) The Feeling Is Strange – Binger

Binger played Nectar’s last night. Wren and Caroline O’Connor were at Light Club Lamp Shop tonight, but I missed them since I was doing this show. It should be fun to see Eight play again. This next band play GPN on Saturday and played a huge show at the Art Hop last Friday.

25.) By My Side – Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul Band

I thought I would end where I began. I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?

Song before: Comin Atcha Live – Tesla

intro

From our – hey why are the meters not showing anything. Aargh

1.) Beach Song – Mr. Ray Fork

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Sorry for the mic not working at the beginning. I guess you really know that I’m live. It’s beautiful in Vermont right now but it’s really hot and time to head to the beach.

2.) I Wanna Be A Lifeguard – Blotto
3.) The Storm Has Been Weathered – 1881
4.) Say It – Anachronist

I just love that song from the central Vermont band. I chatted with Winfield Holt from 1881 in the window of the show at Nectar’s last night and really want to catch his band soon. I remember seeing Blotto at Hunt’s a couple of times a long time ago. OK, here is the next song on Giant Places, the album I am playing through song by song, week after week, until the album is done.

5.) Summer Falls – Lendway
6.) Gray Goo – Villanelles
7.) Sunshine – Apartment 3
8.) Kick Rocks – And The Kids

Kids played a great show at ArtsRiot last Saturday. Apartment 3 played the show and they were pretty awesome too. Villanelles are playing every Wednesday in July at Nectar’s. They played a great show last night with Invisible Homes. Next week Swale share the bill, so that will be great too. On July 28th the legendary Envy will reunite for a show at The Monkey House. It’s time to start getting excited.

9.) Falling In And Out Of Sleep – Envy
10.) Summer Song – Wide Wail
11.) Grounded – Invisible Jet
12.) Another Life Ago – The Cush

I still remember the first night I saw the Cush at Club Metronome several years ago. Jet played some great shows in the ’90’s and it was great to hear music diversify in so many ways. Now, you can hear almost any kind of music in Burlington. That was a nice mellow song from WW, another classic ’90’s band. OK, let’s keep rocking. This next band play tomorrow night at Manhattan Pizza and Pub.

13.) Restaurant – The Mountain Says No
14.) Politicians In My Eyes – Death World Wide
15.) It’s Real Again – Zola Turn
16.) Dead Summer – Thompson Gunner

There’s always something on the radio when you listen to WBKM. You can hear great songs like Dead Summer. Real is another classic from the ’90’s when Zola played a ton of great shows. Death began in Detroit, then they moved to VT and became Lambsbread and now they are rocking as Death again. I loved the show they played at Flynn Center for the Performing Arts last year. Hmmm, Mountain. This next band played a great show last night at Nectar’s and this is one of my favorite songs.

17.) Above The Frequency – Invisible Homes
18.) Sun Dipped Orphans and the Wizard’s Tea Pot – Elephants of Scotland
19.) The Summer Of Andy – Cancer Conspiracy

CC were another great band from the ’90’s. That’s a new song from Elephants who are putting out some tremendous music. Homes did a great version of Frequency last night. OK, let’s change things up a little bit.

20.) Complex Vermont – Self Portrait
21.) The Feeling Is Strange – Binger
22.) Cascade – Andriana Chobot
23.) Trouble Come No More – Cricket Blue

Cricket are playing at Main St Landing tomorrow and Radio Bean next Tuesday. Both Andriana and Binger played great sets at the Eat More Kale Festival a couple of weeks ago. Nice descriptions of VT by Portrait. This next singer is touring out west soon.

24.) Save A Different Way – Francesca Blanchard
25.) Beats Me – Satori Bob
26.) Glover Tonight – Chin Ho

Such a VT classic from Chin Ho. John Baumann used to play around as Satori but is now hanging out making music in OR. Great song from Francesca. I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?

Apartment 3, Vundabar, And The Kids at Arts Riot July 2, 2016   Leave a comment

I had a great time seeing music last night at ArtsRiot. It was one of those classic nights where I got to check out a band I was curios to see, there was one band I knew nothing about and one band that I knew I would love. They even played in that order.

I got out of work at 7:30, stopped at home quickly, then headed out a little after 8 and arrived just before 8:30. I had enough time to get a beer an Apartment 3 hit the stage and rocked it hard. With two singer/guitar players, bass and drums they unleashed a catchy maelstrom of indie punk. Some of the songs were a little sludgy and heavy, some were were fast punk, but all of them had a nice flow and moved through their changes with ease. The only one I recognized was Winter Is Gone and they played it very well. They played a solid 40 minute set that ended with an off kilter eighties pop sounding song that evolved into a heavy rock ending. I really loved their set and will definitely check them out again soon.

About 15 minutes after they left the stage, Vundabar started playing. They are a guitar/singer, bass, drums band and their songs seem to be about laying out some riffs, pausing for a bit then charging back into them. The packed audience loved them and were bouncing along and lightly moshing for their hour long show. They played a dozen songs and the audience sang along heartily on the second to last. They reminded me a bit of Ten Years After but with some more modern indie rock sounds. They put on a solid rock show that was enjoyed by all.

There was another short set break, then And The Kids hit the stage. If the previous band was all about riffs to get people to bounce, Kids are all about well crafted songs that are fun to dance to. They treated us to several songs off the new Friends Share Lovers album, including the title song, and played plenty of the classics. They are guitar/singer, bass, drums trio though the drummer adds backing vocals and tons of effects. The audience loved them and had a great time singing the AAA-EEE sections of Cats Were Born. Their 14 song set spanned an hour and they wrapped the night with a stellar All Day All Night.

I headed out shortly after the last song faded out and was really glad I put the effort in. We are so lucky to be able to get such lovely music in Burlington.

Last night’s local music radio sow on WBKM 107.1FM went as follows:

Song before: Strange Phenomena – Kate Bush

intro

From our small city to the great big word, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Last week I saw a ton of great new music at the Eat More Kale Festival and want to highlight as much of that music as I could track down. I wish I had found more, but did find some treasures like this song:

1.) Not I – Andriana Chobot
2.) Here Comes The Sun – Aaron Flinn
3.) One From Two – Linda Bassick
4.) Kentucky – Cricket Blue

I had a great time seeing Cricket in City Hall Park in Burlington on Friday and loved their version of that song. I don’t have any music by Steady Betty to play, so I thought I’d toss in one of Linda’s songs, since she writes some of the Betty songs. Aaron played a great version of Sun at the kale festival. Andriana was amazing at the kale festival and I love all of her songs, especially that one. OK, let’s play the next song on Giant Places, the album I am playing all the way through, one song per week, until the album is through.

5.) Gone With Eraser – Lendway
6.) Better Off – Haley Jane and the primates
7.) Piano In Every Room – gneiss
8.) Soul Piggy Bank – SWALE

Last week after I played Piano I though ti would mix nicely into Piggy. I think that went quite well. Haley and the band put on an amazing show at the kale fest. I can’t wait for their new album which just got funded through Kickstarter. Hmmm, Lendway. This next band put on an amazing show at the kale festival and their upcoming album is going to be a huge step forward and I can barely wait.

9.) Let’s Move – Kat Wright & The Indomitable Soul Band
10.) Strings – Binger
11.) Friends Share Lovers – And The Kids
12.) Shy Spiders – Villanelles

Their new album Blue Heart Attack is easily one of the best albums of the year so far. They will be playing every Wednesday at Nectar’s and I want to catch some of those shows. ATK are at ArtsRiot on Saturday and I hope to be there. I’ve been lucky enough to catch Binger a couple of times lately, including the kale festival, They always seem to play a ripping version of Strings. I cant wait to see Kat Wright and the band play at the waterfront for the July 3rd celebration. They were so stunning at the kale festival. OK, this next singer is playing Nectar’s on Friday.

13.) Better Half – Abbie Morin
14.) I’ve Been Down – Bob Wagner
15.) The Day I Met You – Dirtminers
16.) Stop – REDadmiral

I really wanted to see Admiral release their album Tuesday at Nectar;s but was ill and could not make it. Next time! I just love that old Dirtminers song. Bob is such a wonderful guy and a serious talent in our music scene. That’s a cover and as far as I am concerned, the can play covers or originals or whatever he wants, as long has he keeps playing. He is tremendously talented. Great song from Abbie Gail. OK, let’s keep rocking and then kick up the pace a lot.

17.) Silver And Gold – Waylon Speed!
18.) Stick That In Your Juicebox And Sip It – Better Things
19.) Welcome To The Hellmouth – Doom Service

Doom and Better were set to play Thursday night at The Monkey House but I later heard that Doom had to drop out. I hope everything is well. BT are just a great band and always worth checking out. Waylon are such a classic local band. OK, I’m feeling a bit off and the voice is fading so let’s close tonight with a super long super heavy magnificent piece of art.

20.) Pastoral – Vultures of Cult

I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we? Ta ta. Farewell. See Ya….

21.) Sayonara – Black Rabbit
outro

Songs after: Sunsets On Empire – Fish
Hinterland – TILT
Block – The Church Band

Tonight’s local music radio show on WBKM runs from 9-11pm US Eastern time and can be heard from the Facebook link above, at 107.1FM or streamed at WBKM.ORG. Tonight’s show has some solid rock and will highlight a tiny amount of the ton of music that happened last week and will happen next week. The show will go as follows:

Song before: Me And A Gun – Tori Amos

intro

From our small city to the great big world, these are the sounds of Burlington. I was pretty shocked by the mass shooting in Orlando this week and think it’s high time we did something about finding ways to help disaffected youth and to at least make sure people purchasing guns have to go through a background check. There is no reason assault rifles should be for sale to the public and I was stunned by the Seven Days article this week that explained how easy it is to get one with no ID at all. Now that the problem is defined, can we find a solution? Of course, instead of focusing on hate and fear, if we focus on joy and music we can make our world a happy place. Let’s begin tonight with a band who played on Church St on Sunday to help close out Jazzfest. They did a great version of this one.

1.) The Coast – The High Breaks
2.) Give Up Enough – When Particles Collide
3.) Kick Rocks – And The Kids
4.) Eighty Nine – Black Rabbit

I really enjoyed seeing Rabbit at Four Quarters Brewing on Saturday. They played that one, and the rest of their catalog, and a few covers. Great brand new songs from Kids and Particles. I just loved the show by the Breaks on Sunday. OK, up next is a band who are playing at Higher Ground tonight.

5.) East Jabib – REDadmiral
6.) Before This Ends Well – Coquette
7.) Burn It Down Bernadette – Phil Yates & The Affiliates
8.) The Mime – Joe Adler

Joe and his band The Wee Folkestra will be at Burger Night at Bread And Butter Farm in Shelburne tomorrow. Phil Yates and the band will be at Nectar’s on Monday. I just found that song from Coquette. They have been playing around town lately so I thought I’d toss it into the mix. Great song from Admiral. OK, last week we finished off playing Callisto by Alpenglow all the way through, so it’s time to begin a new album. This is a classic from a few years ago. It’s called Giant Places by a band called Lendway.

9.) Ready To Race – Lendway
10.) WalkingInCircles – Raq
11.) Thinner Than Water – Somah
12.) The Naked Garden – Peg Tassey MUSIC

Such a wonderful song from Peg. I was looking through some old playlists the other day and though it was time to pull Thinner out again. The Raq song always gets me going. Great song from Lendway. That is the first song from Giant Places and I will play that album all the way through over the next few weeks. OK, This band are playing a couple of shows in Woodstock Vt on June 17 and 18 so check them out if you are in the area.

13.) You Are Not The Photograph – SWALE
14.) Can’t Feel It – Vetica
15.) Be Aggressive – BE AGGRESSIVE
16.) Dead Or In Jail – Crazyhearse
17.) Destroying Everything They See – Blue Button

Great song by Button. They have a show coming up in a few weeks with Cave Bees and Black Rabbit so I’m getting psyched early. I love that rocker from Crazy. Aggressive will be at The Monkey House next Wednesday. I love the Vetica song, and Swale too. OK, let’s keep rocking. This band will be at Foundation (under Drink) on Friday.

18.) 1.21 Gigawatts/Great Scot – Doom Service
19.) Green Peaks Dark Valleys – Get A Grip
20.) Anti-Social Media – Voices in Vain
21.) Weapons Factory – The Wards

Classic Burlington song from the Wards. VIV were recommended so I had to check out that song. Grip will play at 242 Main on Friday. This next song is lots of fun.

22.) 1.21 Jiggawatts – Wave of the Future
23.) Fly On The Wall – Zola Turn
24.) Righteous – ROUGH FRANCIS
25.) Long Term Sermon – The Mountain Says No

Killer song from Mountain. They should have a new album reasonably soon. Same for Francis. Zola were a great local band from the ’90’s. This next song is usually a closer but I think it will fit well here:

26.) Reprise – The Cush
27.) Promises – Vedora
28.) Run My Man – Alice Austin
29.) Say It – Anachronist

Great song from the central Vermont band. Alice has put so much great music into our town. Vedora played some great shows for a couple of years. Hmmm, The Cush. OK, there is time for a couple more.

30.) This Land Is Your Land – Bernie Sanders and 30 VT musicians
31.) Tha Critic – Ninja Custodian

I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we? Farewell…

32.) Sayonara – Black Rabbit
outro

Songs after: What Color Is God? (live) – Fish
Hinterland – TILT
Little Earthquakes – Tori Amos
