Song before: What Sarah Said – Death Cab For Cutie

intro

From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. Let’s begin with a band who have been playing around, but I had not caught up with until last night.

1.) Reprise (Marthasville) – J Bengoy
2.) Pet Names – J Bengoy
3.) Turn Me Around – J Bengoy
4.) So Good (I Could Die) – J Bengoy

I really enjoyed their show last night and am happy to play some of their music. This next artist will be at Higher Ground on Sunday. I want to dedicate this song to my brother Ken.

5.) Brothers And Sisters – Joe Adler
6.) A Quiet Pun – Joe Adler
7.) The Mime – Joe Adler
8.) Spit N Fire Blues – Joe Adler and the Rangers of Danger

That last song was recorded live at Nectar’s and the rest are from the Many Things & Many Scenes album. This next band are releasing their new album called Luck tonight at ArtsRiot Here’s a sample of it.

9.) Hannah Wants To See You – Clever Girls
10.) Get Out – Clever Girls
11.) Tomorrow – Clever Girls
12.) Heavy – Clever Girls

I’ve seen them play many of those songs and am so happy to have recorded versions to share with you. This next band are releasing a new album on Saturday at The Monkey House. I don’t have it yet so here are some of their older songs.

13.) Black Oil – Doom Service
14.) Fear Of A Bot Planet – Doom Service
15.) Welcome To The Hellmouth – Doom Service
16.) Monsters Are Due – Doom Service

I love the old X-Files reference in Oil and Bot reminds me of the new episode called Rm9sbG93ZXJz from last month. It’s worth checking out if you haven’t seen it. I’ll get their new album on the air soon. OK, this next band also played at ArtsRiot last night with J Bengoy, as part of Big Heavy World‘s 105.9FM The Radiator Rocket shop live show.

17.) Popular Crowd – SWALE
18.) Waterlanding – Swale
19.) Good Medicine – Swale
20.) Every Last One Of Us – Swale

The last song simply has the steady chant of We Can All Be That Way. Thanks Amanda Gustafson for dedicating that to my mom, Carol Lewis, who passed away on Monday. Swale are so amazing and such wonderful people. Speaking of wonderful people, let’s take an in depth look at politics in America.

21.) Third Party Politics – Ouzkxqlzn

Lauren Costello is a truly amazing artist. I hope you enjoyed that. Let’s close tonight with a set from another great band.

22.) So They Say – The New Siberians
23.) 1965 – The New Siberians
24.) Black 17 – The New Siberians
25.) Notes To Future Self 1 – The New Siberians

That is the last song on Black, Blue & White so I will have to pick a new album to play all the way through, starting next week. 1965 is from their first album and the other two are from Black, Blue & White.

Well, I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?
