Song before: Take The Skinheads Bowling – Camper Van Beethoven
From our small city to the great big world, these are the Sounds Of Burlington. I want to begin by thanking Higher Ground for sponsoring out station. They have a ton of great music happening this week. Tonight I will feature just a few of the wonderful bands we have in Vermont but play a set of music for each, so you get a good sense of who they are. It will go as follows.
1.) Wanderer – Francesca Blanchard
2.) My Heart – Francesca Blanchard
3.) The Sea (Zach’s Song) – Francesca Blanchard
Francesca plays around town and around the country and around the world. Definitely check her out when you get a chance. OK, here is the next song on By My Side.
4.) Marvelous – Kat Wright Official
5.) Dear God – Kat Wright
6.) The River – Kat Wright
Kat and the band are playing great shows all around the northeast. You will be happy if you go see them. OK, this next band played at Nectar’s last night. Here is them life at Nectar’s from a couple of years ago.

8.) Be Free – ONEoverZero
9.) We Do Not Agree – ONEoverZero
Their jam/reggae sound is what Burlington sounds like on a regular basis. OK, it was a warm day today but if you go out for a walk this evening, well you won’t need a winter coat, but will need an overcoat. This next band played a lovely show on Saturday night.
10.) Overcoat – SWALE
11.) Edible #2 – Swale
12.) If You Get Lost – Swale
That is such a lovely song and Swale are doing great things these days. This next band played after Swale on Saturday.

14.) Parking Lot – Villanelles
15.) Gray Goo – Villanelles
It was great to Villanelles play two nights in a row. They played all three of those both Saturday and Friday. On Friday the played with this band who played all three of these songs.
16.) Little Song – Invisible Homes
17.) All Your Basis – Invisible Homes
18.) This Machine – Invisible Homes
This machine kills fascists with ideas not weapons. Great stuff from Homes. They are playing tonight at SideBar with this next band. They also played the show last Friday.

20.) The Mountain – The Mountain Says No

23.) The Naked Garden – Peg Tassey
24.) I Remain/The Jam – Peg Tassey
Peg is a treasure and is cooking up some great music for us right now. Hopefully, the album she is producing for Miriam Bernardo will be out soon. OK, for tonight’s last set it won’t just be one band but they are all very related. Here is a song from Adam Rabin‘s solo project.
Elephants are a cool local prog band, despite the name, they really are from Vermont. Greg Skillman writes some of the lyrics and formed a band with Adam called Neb Crabula. We started with Adam covering an Elephants song. Well, I hope you enjoyed checking out the music of our town. Let’s do it again next week, shall we?
